I have just bought one of these and it has been alot of years since I have been around the SQ scene and am just wondering if it is still used at all.

 

this peice was designed and built by a canadian from calgary. very very nice... way ahead of its time in 97. i think the engineers name was al milner.

 

The state of the art (SOTA) in analog EQ has not changed since then so it is every bit as SOTA as it was then. There is competition with the PPI DEQ-230, the Zapco, and the Image Dynamics analog EQ. There is a growing list of digital EQ available and I have not used or listened to them they should have some advantages over analog

 

Chris, I am using an Orion DEQ-30. It's a wonderful piece of electronics.
