I ended up needing to replace two drive shafts so that's put the audio purchases on hold for a moment but gives me time to do some more research.

Sounds good, although you'll laugh at my junker. I'm off to Toronto for the weekend, so maybe sometime next week.

Pioneer DEH-P690UB vs. Kenwood KDC-X591

So, I blew all my car audio money on drive shafts and winter tires, but on the bright side this gives me some more time to look at the options. I had been considering a Pioneer DEH-P690UB since it has USB support, but I hear the Kenwood KDC-X591 has better quality because of the 24bit DAC. Any opinions?
I'm also wondering about how quick these units are to access MP3 information. If anybody is using either of these models, how long does it take to access a hard drive and what size HD are you using?
Any other USB MP3 players that you guys would recommend?
