Hi, I have a Phoenix gold, PLD1 line driver, does it affect sound quality? How should I use this, with the AMP gains at 0 and the PLD1 maxed, or what do I do for best amp results and whatnot.

Any piece added to a system has the potential to add noise to it.

Turn the HU up 3/4 with typical material and set the amp at 0.
Turn up the PLD-1 until the red light starts flashing then turn it back a bit and you're done.

That's about the easiest way.

Doesnt the red light just flash if the output is clipping? Well what if his amps cant handle 8vrms of input? Wouldnt it be possible to damage the input circuitry of his amplifier? Many amps are only made to handle 4-5v of input...

Your are right, I had PG "XS" amps and I could run the PLD full tilt. But I had Soundstream amps, and they would cut out because I was over loading the input stage...

HI guys, since I have no use for my PLD1 anymore, since IM all about SQ, its up for grabs, does anybody want it? I know this is probably unrealistic, but I would like $100 for it. IS that a fair deal? If not what is, please PM me or whatever thanks

I have mine at about 3/4 because my kenwood likes to see about 5v on the input.
What Soundstream amps did you have? Im not sure about the older ones, but I thought most of the newer ones could supposedly handle up to 12v on the input side?

You dont need you PLD1 because your all about SQ?

What does a PLD1 do in your opinion? its definatly not a turbo charger to make your car go faster
