I was also wondering if you guys have some opinions on whats amps to power all this.

Sorry if i seem to ask alot of questions but im pretty new to the car audio thing and am just trying to learn.

I am a huge Polk fan. They have a great product line and the Db series components sound really good for being entry level. They are also fairly shallow ( 1 11/16") which is nice for some installation constraints.

As far as the Db subs go, I'm running these right now:

Polk db212-2 Dual 12" Hatchback Subwoofer

If you have the room for the box you will get plenty loud and that sale is pretty sweet too considering you get two subs and a kickass box.

As far as amps go, I'm running a 600 watt Alpine amp. You can easily run 800 to 1000 watts at 2 ohms into that box if you want.

I was a polk fan . . .
I've had 2 sets of polks.
The first set was coaxials. ("ex" series) On one driver, the pole piece was only glued on, and the glue let go causing the pole piece to shift and seize the voice coil.
The next set was components (also "ex" series). . . something went goofy in that I blew the left mid and the right tweeter . . . that doesn't make senseto have those blow on opposite sides and most people agree that it was the result of either a defective crossover, defective drivers or both. They were powered with 85wrms x2 which was their exact recommended range.

Their sound quality was great bang for the buck . . . but reliability has made me say "I'm done with polk." They make good home audio stuff, but perhaps the harsh environment of a car is also a factor . . .

I heard a set of SR6500 and it was one of the most dynamic and smooth speakers I have ever heard. I was VERY close to picking up a set of these, but I just didn't need them. Gorgeous speaker.

Polk as a company has always made a good quality speaker.
