Fabulous Acoustic
hi everybody. i am running a car audio shop in indonesia. I was wondering if u guys have ever tried this product? i am not sure if it is available in canada. i believe it is actualy a local brand using imported speakers. it is a 2 way configuration. For the tweeter it is using Aurum cantus ribbon tweeters, while the midrange /midbass using C-quenze 4ohm version. the retail price in indonesia is about $1500 USD. To me, these speakers are one of the best speakers rite now, the midrange is very clean, very good tonal balance, the mid bass is very deep (for the 6.5" version FS is very low @ 29hz!) the high frequency is very clean and detailed and yet not harsh, extended to 40khz ( i know that we cant really 'heard' anything above 20khz, but i believe that u can 'feel' it) For speaker positioning in indonesia for these speakers we usualy place them on axis to the driver seat (tweeters in the A pillar at ear level. mid in the doors as high as possible and angled on axis if possible for the car otherwise its centered.)
i am just sharing some info because i believe these speakers are very good
ps: more info: in indonesia, we currently have a new amps called "ZELOS AUDIO" it is basicaly the full TRU TECHNOLOGIES line up. If u guys dont know this, The tru technology lines (TO3, C7, C7 tube) are NOT made in USA. it is made in KOREA. these zelos are apparently pretty much the same as the tru technologies amps with a little differences
from what i've learn, it seems that in the US and canada, speakers placement is mostly placed in the kick panels. while in indonesia we usually put the tweeters in the A pillard and do a custom pod in the door panels for the mid. (labour is not that expensive here).
i hope i can learn a lot from and shares many info in this forum.

Yes TRU Technologies is made in Korea. Most car audio products (amplifiers head units, processors) are designed and made in China, Taiwan or Korea. Quite a few speakers are too but I do not know which brands. Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Indonesia have had numerous specialty products we cant get... and frankly we want them too!

There is one localy made amps that equal or even better compared to the tru tech C7 amps, brax, etc. it cost around 800 usd. the spec is 4x150wrms. if anyone of you could come to visit Indonesia, i would love to demonstrate this amplifier. the only downside is the packaging, its really rough and homemade looking
it's handmade by a single person, our one and only amp designer
i was wondering for sq competition there, do u have a special class for non processor and processor? over here processor rules for most sq competition class. what is the favourite brand for sq competition over there?
to: qimis: well the fabulous acoustic brand is currently one of the top brand in indo rite now the best install i have seen for this product is in a NISSAN X-trail. the mid and tweeter is custom mounted in the dashboard of the car (its just like a bookshelf speaker placed in front of the car) using F1 status head unit, the tru tech C7 for the fronts, and BRAX x2000 for the sub, phase aliante 12" ltd. RCA using synergistic alpha sterling and speakers cable using synergistic alpha quad. it came 1st in the unlimited class
the current trend in SQ competition in indonesia is using home speaker, cables, trick, and technique and apply them in the car environment. Car accoustic becomes one of the most important aspect for building a competition car.
i was wondering is there any class A amplifier that retail for less than 500usd over there. thanks

I think you guys follow pretty closely with the trends set in Europe........... a lot of dash mounted front staging with processing. Do you have DLS there ??? I think they are there as I seem to remember running into someone at CES 2005.............. or was that one of the DLS demo cars in their booth from your country. Can't remember. I'm dead tired and the brain is not working right tonite

I thought that the TRU amps were originally a partnership with said european company, but this has changed and the TRU's are now indeed built in the states.
The resemblance is still pretty much the same in cosmetically though.
