Brandon, I'm willing to bet the Drive 30 is more flexible than the Behringer. you want want tuneability ? how's 40 bands of fully parametric EQ with adjustable Q per band?

Adam, not all of us can afford F#1's so we must do with what we have... Nasa is not jealous...we have more like a symbiotic relationship. I dont' quite know why you would be jealous since your ride seems leaps and bounds above mine, especially since you don't plan to use an Eq. that says alot!

Since the Drive 30 and H700 are such different units i'd love to compare them.

I'm not EQ free yet Mr. Marco, with everyone here helping me along it shouldn't be too long...

I'd like to try out the H700 some time too.

Isn't the Drive 30 plagued by software problems?

It is an awesome unit in practice, but some owners were fed up by it's little problems. Some even compared it to running Windows ME LOL...

I'll take 3 of em :D

they were indeed problematic in the first production runs, but Alto has the best customer service i've ever experienced or even heard of. they are relentless in getting the problems fixed. my unit and Plow's are completely noise free and functioning properly.

i wish my car had the interior space of a beemer (like yours and Plow's) but i'm stuck with a cabin not much biger than 2 fat people. thus i don't think i can discard the Eq. if ever i find otherwise, away it will go. btw, are you changing speakers or just planning to phase out the eq?

Mr. Marco, the only speaker that I'm serious about changing is the tweeter. It's my single biggest weakness next to my install.

From my RTA work, I've found that I need an X.O. capable of overlaping and underlapping. So I'm looking at a processor more flexible than the DQX to tune my system. Eq wise...well I don't see it to be as an important tuning tool as I once thought. An EQ does have merit, but having and using 12db of equalization is not nessessary. So far I've found 1, 2, or 3 db adjustments to be usefull, but any more than that seems to sacrifice SQ.

So, I assume you guys found the right cable to plug your laptop into the Drive 30 eh?

i cannot get another drive30 with that price.

PLOW, I might be doing a large tweeter in my car up on the corner of the dash. That will be after I get my kick panels done for my 4" mids. I'll be sure to post pictures if I do run the large tweeter.

As for processors...
