Recommend a Decent Double DIN Please

I've been away from the audio scene for a few years now. I'm putting this into a CX-7 with the Bose sytem.

Needs to be double DIN, with NAV, a decent EQ, and can connect to Ipod. Budget is $600ish or less. Used is fine so I'll also take rec's on used models to watch for. I'd prefer Pioneer but I won't be too picky.

Basically I'm looking for a Pioneer 880PRS only with NAV and in a double DIN chasis. If only they made that at a decent price......

Talk to Joon at The Hi-Fi Centre in Whitby. Last time I was in there he had refurbished Alpine IVA-W505's for around that price.

You can add a NAV unit as well, which I also believe he has refurbished ones.

I know it's not a Pioneer, but it's a decent deck.

Later,
Brad

Aaaa I see you remembered how I got my nickname
I've been thinking that 920 might be the way to go as well (unless there's an older unit that would be better to find used). The Alpine 505 is almost as expensive and there's not much in it (you've still got to buy a Blackbird, and if you want processing you have to get an IMPRINT as well).

Kenwood looks to be the same pricing as the Pioneer. What about the JVC units (mind you I've never really been much of a fan of them)?

Well so far so good it sounds very good, better than the Eclipse 7100 I have in the other car. EQ is useful and easy to use too. I have to change change some things 1)the time (for some reason it is on west coast time), 2) the nav screen was way too freakin bright at night, 3) the row of buttons on the left look like a gay pride parade as they go through the rainbow constantly

after 2 days with it I love it sonically, and the nav unit works well too with a nice big screen for old guy eyes (like mine). Tuner is pretty good FM and very good AM with the tonal balance the same as the CD player. A little visual 'noise' on the rearward camera but overall very good, I dont think the noise is due to the HU. I love the non-motorized face, the touch screen is accurate and not overly nor under sensitive. Franky I have no issues with the basic unit and if I was building an SQ competition vehicle it is as worthy as any 2din unit from any manufacturer and better than many 'SQ' HU including my Eclipse.

it isnt a real problem in my Edge so I cant say (though the display is so bright I do not think it would be an issue... now that i think of it I can often see other vehicles NAV units clearly in the daytime so glare may not be such a big deal with current NAV units)
