Road Whine - Possible Suspects
I get a very faint, high pitched hiss/while while driving...I am using Streetwires ZN7 series RCA's, stinger power/ground cables. Could this be caused by bad ground on either the line driver or amp, wires crossed somewhere along the way or gain setting on the line driver or Amp? The noise isn't loud by any means, but just enough to irritate when the volume is down.
Thanks guys!

Check everything that you mentioned above along with the ground on the deck as well. Also make 100% certain that none of your RCA cables are touching a ground anywhere along the way. I have a line driver and the brain box for my DSP mounted on a panel under the front seat (for easy accessibility) and every now and then the Velcro mount allows it move a little bit and it touches something on the seat mount and I get the same issue, although in my case it's pretty easy to rectify.

Would the rca cable running from the HU to the line driver catch noise if it crossed paths with the ground wires from the HU?
Also, the power and ground cables were spliced into the same ones from the head unit. Could this be a problem?
