Rx8 recommendations?

Rx8 recommendations?
Picked up a new Rx8 a few days ago. It's lacking bass.
I have $2500 to spend, more concerned about sound quality. I'm fine with the current speakers up front. Just want a clean enclosure in the back, without taking up too much space.
Have been considering a JL W7's, Orion H2 series, etc.
Also what would I need to hook this up to the factory deck?
I was thinking a setup similar to this, though I don't know what subs would work with such little airspace in the back....?
Thanks,
J

how much space do you have? or are willing to give up? Most brands have subs that will work very well in as little as .6 cuft(net) sealed, like the Alpine type R 10", my type R 12's are in .8cubes each and sound great. Since you're keeping the rest factory, you won't need a "killer" sub set up (you also mentioned SQ ), so go with something that needs 200-300watts and works well in a small sealed enclosure. It should not overpower your factory system. Check out Boston Acoustics, JL, Image Dynamics, Alpine, MTX, etc...

my 10" Type R was overpowering my factory speakers. That's when I decided to get new speakers all around, 4ch amp and a deck. Sound quality is way better with the new deck then the stock bose crap. If you're looking to integrate... I've heard very good things about JL CleanSweep processor.
But with the stock radio and LOC the bass will not sound very good.
Find out if the RX8 has RCA pre-outs on the back of the factory head unit. if you got them then you'll be able to get a good clean signal.

Thanks for the responses everyone.
The car has factory subs in the rear deck, so I'm going to pull those out. Thinking two 8W7's for some clean bass in a sealed box at the front of the trunk, firing upwards into the holes where the factory subs were. What high-quality amp would you guys recommend?
Entire setup budget is $2500. I'm thinking about running Cleansweep too.

I'd rather keep the stock headunit / factory look.
I have the Bose 'Premium' stereo currently. Any idea how many ohms the factory speakers run at?
Also, what would be a suitable amp to power two 8W7's? (or SoundSplinter RL-i 8")...
Any input is appreciated MR2NR, nothing is set in stone right now.. open to all options.

Are you after a monsterous output in sound or just something good and balanced? Replacing the front and rear speakers or just adding subs? A single 10" driver is more than enough for this car and at the same time to keep it from being a overbearing bass machine. If you are going to be changing out the front and rear speakers, I have the template already for the front speakers in the doors as they are almost 9" (too bad they are shat though). For a interface on the Bose system, use the Audio Control 6XS.
