Come on MacKinnon, lets hear it, what'd you think of CES this year?
I'm not really concerned with the SPL part but what was all the hype about Morel this year? And did Focal have thier new Utopias on display? Come on man, I wanna hear everything

Well, I did go through about 350 pictures from CES and got some phone calls from friends in the industry..
Kicker released a high-end component set, targeted for $1000 USD... Also, a SoloX 10.. scary.
Audio Control has a dash mount control module for their Digital EQ's and stuff. Very nice.
PPI released an attractive lineup of amps, all I know so far.
Rockford revamped the line, basically. New woofers and amps. Their 3000W strappable monsters are targetted at the JBL (my personal interpretation) at a lower price (read, 2/3 the cost per Watt).
JBL wasn't at CES, too bad, I was looking forward to seeing some BIG stuff from them.
Alpine release a huge sub (a la TS-W5000 and Kenwood Superwoofer). They also released more products in the F#1 Status line. They of course built a funky Mini.
JL Audio released a few new amps, revamped the W1 to W1V2 and revamped to W3 to W3V3. Word is their mini took the 'best of CES' award, according to our people that were in the booth as the trophy was handed out. I don't have details.
Pioneer showed some new amps and a new thin subwoofer. Imagine 12's behind the seat in a regular cab!
All I recall for sure from the Focal booth was a K2Power 40-something.. So that should be an 18 if my guess is correct.
Kenwood tidied up the deck line in terms of features and style. I had they flagship 979 a month back and was VERY impressed with its sonic performance. Saw their new amps as well. You will be able to adjust all the controls on the amps through the head unit. Gain, filtering, etc.. Nice!
Clarion line looks similar with a few new decks at the top of the line. A touch screen unit with every feature under the sun, and the afore mentioned 9255 that is hardcore and includes time alignment.
Having trouble thinking of more stuff...
Hmm.. New JVC and Panasonic decks...
Of course Cerwin Vega introduced the scary Stroker Pro and some other new drivers.
Running out of ideas.. If I come up with other stuff later, I'll add on...

kenwood did impress me this year, very nice stuff.
PBX I think the line is, looks like they can make some noise(nice demo SUV)
Focal had 2 demo cars that looks great, and both were built in Canada EH! one out of BC and one from calgary.
tru had a personal fav demo ride, it was a F-150 with a blackwood front clip and the install was insane, best I've seen in a truck yet.
Everyone is moving into bigger is better or mobile screens and stuff it seems.
