It works just fine, since I'm only driving the van for a year or so, it won't be installed in it, but I could definatly use it the way this van sounds right now.

You should think before you open your mouth.
Actually I have a great deal of listening time into a set of 5W-S'...Vented!! And they don't go under seats?? Sure they do...just not 2 on each side...

Brandon based on what has happened in the past with your sig & gear u actually have I am suggesting you may not have played around with the 5W-S enough to know what it can really do....sure I know you've heard them in somebody's system and they've said it doesn't have enough output as one pair but I bet they were using them for subs?? Was their install in a sealed enclosure??

Ever tried one in a small shoebox sized vented enclosure??? Way more output than sealed there mr.nice guy I mean certainly enough to try out if you had a pair just laying around...I know if anyone had a pair just sitting there would for sure try it out...

Do you actually own a set of these or are they a part of a future system u intend on having one day?
And if you actually DO own them and are not using them, wanna sell??

yes I do own them, no I don't want to sell, they are part of a master plan wait till this time next year...or close to it.

I 've heard them in a small sealed box, and I've also heard them in a free-air set-up(doors). They seem to work REAL well in a door...I'm in no way putting them down, in fact they are probably my favourite midbass driver....I wouldn't suggest using them as a sub...yes I've heard them used as one. You'd need a lot of them to be used as a sub.

I have not heard them used in a vented box, but I just don't have that kind of room under my seats so what's the difference?

I have the depth and width for a decent sized enclosure....but no height.....so to make up for the loss of airspace in the enclosure I will use a bigger driver and feed them more power.

Make sense?

Glass the enclosures and angle the baffle(the angled baffle will give you more room to mount the driver)...the size of the vented enclosure I was playing with was very small...like 8 inches by 6 inches by 12 or 14 inches...I'll get the measurements if u want them...and they played a lot loader than sealed and sounded fantastic... IT took you over 2 weeks to come up with that?
