Sound Quality Summit - Northern US/Eastern Canada - 24 April - IMPORTANT REVISION
Last bump. See you all tomorrow morning!
Remember, if you're not sure you can make it until the last minute, please show up and register "at the door." I am bringing a few extra of everything just in case! (including DLS UP6 speaker sets---two sets still available).

Great Event!!!
I would recomend this to anyone wanting to learn to enjoy music better in a vehicle.
It was really nice to finally put a face to names like JohnVroom, MDXman, Geolemon, and of course Scott Buwalda.
The KW shop was agreed by all to be a truely impressive venue. I can think of 2 people that I'm sure are still drooling over the 4 router tables in the wood room.
And finally I'd like to thank Kankar distributing for graciously carrying me across the boarder in their trunk.

Thank you EVERYONE that came to the seminar event!! We had a great time together, and it was a very productive seminar! I am still a little tired from the whirlwind tour, but it's OK...still on the car audio "high" from the weekend!
After I get the pics from Kustom Workz, I will upload them to the web site.
Thank you to DLS for their VERY generous support of the seminar with free UP6 speaker sets! Thanks also to Kustom Workz in Elma, NY for hosting the event!
We are still discussing Calgary, and maybe even Vancouver as well, so stay tuned!

I want to thank everyone for making this event happen.
It was funny - several people came up to me personally and thanked us for hosting the event. All I could think was that it was all of you that made it happen. If it wasn't for your interest, your participation - it simply wouldn't have happened. All we did was unlock our doors. So, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Not only did I personally find this interesting and educational, I thought everyone learned, regardless of past experience.
After all, everyone who is an enthusiast finds themselves focusing on one aspect or another at some time, another area at some other time - this presentation was great because while it did in some ways focus in on particular areas, it also stepped back and helped connect the dots at the same time.
So, thanks Scott, for a great experience!
PS ...I also believe I heard Scott mention something about possibly developing this into something longer than a 1-day session, with not only a presentation, but a hands-on team based fabrication session, to help with the application of the theory... aiming speakers, fabricating to deal with acoustical issues, etc...
If this actually came true next year, I'd be more than glad to open up our fabrication shop for something like that - and even more glad if we had the same great crew we had on board this year.

Hey Chris:
I think that it is a very real possibility. Considering the size and extensiveness of your fabrication facilities, Kustom Workz would be a good fit for such a seminar. In case you have never been to Kustom Workz, it is the custom installers paradise. I have never seen such large, well-equipped, and well-laid out facilities in any other shop.

A Vancouver event looks really doable. I was speaking with Tim Baillie and the folks at Karz Electronics, and there's an interest in hosting one in Vancouver. We would host it at Tim's new shop, and Karz has expressed an interest in sponsoring the event (although nothing's been quite firmed up yet). Perhaps we should start another thread for those with a sincere interest in attending a Vancouver Sound Quality Summit?
I think it could be in late July or early August. Need to be a little careful, as a Calgary event is also in discussions for the third weekend in August...once again, nothing set in stone, but we are talking about it. We'd need to be sure that there would be no competition between the two events (I think geography would dictate that each event would have its own crop of people).
