Soundstream 4 chan. which one?

Well, we may have finally killed our high/mid amp. Bro should be checking it today. We have a couple small replacements though, we're still making it to Barrie
It is/was a Soundstream LW5.830 , bought it for cheap, used and abused it for a few years. I was really impressed for what I paid. SQ is not TOO important. for the replacement.
With the price of new Soundstream 4 channels being so fairly priced, I'm wondering series would you run, Rubicon/Reference/TRX etc, what size.?

The highs/mids we run are Diamond audio 662s

Whats the MC500
... Yeah Dukk I'm old, and cheap. Maybe something only 10 yrs old this time eh?

Got it checked out a bit, the old LWII seems to have a problem with the remote input. maybe something else. My bro is working on the diagnosis.

Due for a new one anyhow I guess.
I like the Reference, but a little pricey when new, If i could find a good used one for a good price(Like the price of the Rub.) , I'd buy it. Great S/N on those!!
The Rub. 4.500 new seems well priced for the power and its a little step up SQ wise from the LWII with a 105 S/N.
Thanks for the recomendation and the chuckle dude..

The MC500 was their big daddymack amp back in the day. 250x2, 750x1, freq. response from DC to light.. Huge money, huge reputation, decent collectibility to all us fossils today. It was that amp that I was commenting about being an antique.

Ahh, nice amp for 1992!! mines old too, but not quite that old I guess, but not that good either!!
I think I will go a bit more modern this time.

Not easy picking a new highs amp

We have a couple hours tomorrow to figure out the problem on the LWII. Its an odd one, I won't bother asking about it though, until we fail tomorrow
