You probably have a sky high resistance on your ground return, this would definitely cause your lights to flicker with this kind of load. Where is your ground run to and in what truck double J?

OP, here is another stunning sub to consider.

I'm almost certain they came in dual 4ohm config.

I don't think there is another sq/sql sub you can buy for $250 used that would compare... but I could be wrong.

w7's, focal, and morel do sound good too

So... XXX 12 D4 is shipped, box is built, amp is mounted, everything is wired up.... just waiting.....

- DoubleJ - Its an 05 Dodge Ram 1500. The charging system is, as of now, stock. Not sure what to expect. I can assure you that if there is an issue, and there likely will be, I will take care of it.
On top of being a mechanic myself (I work at a ski hill in Banff doing all the vehicles here), I'm also a vehicle electrical specialist, and about 10 years ago I went to Mobile Dynamics, when it was still in Toronto, so I'm no stranger to the many many problems of a high end audio system.
Like I said though, I'm gonna see what happens on the stock charging system. Alternator seems to be in great shape, testing 160-ish amps. Wires are not bad. But I have wire in the shop, and have all the tools I need to fab up a 2nd alternator bracket, hell, I even have a second alternator...

I'm just curious as hell as to how good the stock system is, so I'm trying that first.
