A sealed box yields some great output, good low frequency extension and great overall performance. As far as the loud factor goes, sub dependent, a ported box is going to play louder and depending on the tuning frequency, it too can play deep with great tonal accuracy.

I would not go more than 500w rms give or take and would not be looking at something like the DD series of subs that will just lay waste to your trunk and make it a rattle wagon. The choice of sub - amp is limited by your budget. To build a system around what you are looking for is easy to do....provided it is inside of the budget you have available.
