2/ Alpine F-1 7990............. step resister vol, dual 1704k bb 24 bit dac, +/-15v dc-dc converter, monster cables.
3/ Mcintosh mx-4000..........n/a
4/ Clarion DRX-9255........... dual 1702 bb 20 bit dac, bb opamps, +/-15v dc-dc converter, analog vol.
5/ Alpine 7909.................. dual 1701 bb 18 bit dac, +/-10v dc-dc converter, analog vol, tone/bal bypass.
6/ Eclipse...........n/a
7 Sony..............n/a
8/ Denon Z-1.............. dual 1704 bb 24 bit dac, e volume

Couldn't think of any others that really stood out for me. Those would be about the only decks I would ever use in my own system though.

i got the 8250 and if you knew what the head tech at r.f. told me about this decks actual workings and specks.............it wouldnt be in the top 20!!!

The best decks I have used is the TD700 for a short time. I used a Nakamichi CD45Z for about 1.5 years with good results. I also enjoyed the sound quality of my ROFO RFX9200.

Yea sure you did.

First off it was built by DENON not Rockford, which is the only reason I really bought one.

I heard the Rockford decks (not denonford) were made by Delco.

To be quite honest, I could really care less what the head tech at rockford says, it sounds really good to me and hundreds of other people so who's to argue?
