Ron Buffington has a highly regarded audio system in his car and ranked quite well at the ISQC last year. I respect what he has to say but I can't say that I will be a lemming for MIT products based solely on the fact Ron uses them.

On a side note, I wonder if avvdreamr achieved instant respect and authority once he purchased the products he has? Some nice gear there.

I can't justify the money either but a comparison would be nice.
Why not ask for a loaner as a future interested dealer and then return it after testing saying "no thanks".

I've played with MIT wire in my own personal home system. One of my all time most dramatic musical experiences with an audio system occured using them. (Not my home system)

I will offer that many people will ignore this topic because it is something they can not relate to. Sensory experiences with emotive content are very person. Some people connect with the music, others connect with the attention that their stereo brings them. I think that any expensive item can fall into both of these catagories.

mine was from getting head while listening to my favorite song
1812 overture
i had to get her synced up with the cannon fires to truely enjoy it though
as they say practice makes perfect
although you may be pressed to find somebody to give head for extended listening sessions or while you have friends over
i also find the neon rings around my speakers help with the exsperience:jammin:
