LOL, nevermind.

I knew the C7 was expensive($2500us) but I thought they might have some cheaper stuff.

I was wrong. It's all too expensive for me.

Turns out I can get the 4 Kicker amps that are in my signature for less than a single C-7.

Beautiful amps though, I wish they were less expensive. Oh well...maybe someday.
how much stuff in your sig do you have?! whats the point in putting it all in your sig if you dont have it!?!? </font>
First of all, what's it to you? Since when do you care what I have and don't have?

And what's so bad about putting the plans of my system in my signature? You got some kind of problem with that? Why do you have to let everyone know how many posts you have, in your signature? Are you jealous that maybe I have some nice equipment that you wish you had or something stupid like that? What if I have everything that's in my sig and more? Maybe I have 4 Audison HR-100's running my system.
Or maybe I don't have any of it. Maybe, just Maybe I drive a lawntractor and have no equipment whatsoever. Would that make me a bad person...would it be wrong to listen to what I have to say or answer my questions?

As for Dodgeram, who the hell are you to say who's a poser? Even if I was a poser I'm not the guy that spends every second I'm awake on this website making wiseass comments to people that really weren't asking for your oppinion anyway.

Dukk: the way I see it is...right now, the Kicker amps are amps that I am familiar with. I know thier characteristics and how they're going to perform. I don't know ARC at all right now except from what I've heard through Tom And Mark. And not that I don't trust them that they are good amps , it's just, when your a dealer of ARC or whoever, the equipment you sell is always going to be "the best" right? I want to hear it for myself. Eventually the plan is to go to ARC amps after a year or 2 of competiton or once I have heard them...and seen how well the guys running ARC do in competiton. Cause the most important part of my system is that I like it...then when I like it, I'll make it so the judges like it.

Make sense to you?

AudioPimp, I think the copper chassis on the TRU C-7 is just cosmetic and not really a benefit to the amp....I could be totally mistaken though.

I do see a lot of high end head-units with copper chassis' like the Denon Z-1, Clarion HXD1 and Alpine 7949....nobody's really ever explained to me what it's purpose is. Possibly better heat transfer? not sure.....can anyone answer that?

Trying to kick Mark in the can to get his car up and running. He had it up actually working for a bit but the German made automobile *cacked* out automotive wise. And yes, I think the ARC stuff is great BUT I also think there's a lot of other great brands out there too that have nothing to do with us. My comments are usually from a personal point of view and based on what I like and find amusing. My favourite amplifiers to date still are the Esoteric Audio E7 series. *sigh* I had a beautiful used set of them too......... once upon a time.

All I can say is that there's a lot of good stuff out there and some of it's really close performance and features wise. So it's pretty hard to go wrong unless you are buying junk or used-and-abused. Do your homework and then go with WHAT YOU LIKE, not what someone else likes. Car audio is a personal expression. Make it your own, not someone elses.

Well said.

I do really like the look of the XXK amps....they looked really good in that GMC Sierra, that was featured in CA&E recently. They're a very classy looking amp....I just can't wait to hear them though....I've heard quite a bit about them and it's all been good.

Now what happened with Mark's car? Last time I seen his car was at Audiothunder and he had torn up his front skirt in a snowbank lol.

Mark's car should be done shortly. I think since Audio Thunder (when his car was actually entered in it) the front end has been changed to Rainbow components and the CXL amps have been changed to XXK. And I think his source and processing will be changed over as well. Right now he has one kickpanel in and the deck and his XXK amps. "HE" says it sounds killer although it's right side biased.............. and I roll my eyes and laugh

I'll be laying the beats on him 'til it gets finished. When it's up and running, demo's are available for all interested.......... including me
