Tube amps on sub bass

It's been my experience that tube amps are a little lacking when it comes to being able to reproduce clean sub bass. At least when compared to a good solidstate amp. This is my experience from a home audio world anyway. Will the same be true with hybrid car audio tube amps (in my case, Butler Audio). I will be using the 2x 150 watt model from tube driver on a 12" sub.

The Tube Driver Blue output stage is entirely solid state so the ability to make current is superior to tube designs... whether the tube front end adds distortion or magic is your call

That's what I'm thinking Dave. But I will give them a try. If it dosent work I will go striaght to a nice A/B amp for my subs.

A nice powerfull Class A/B monoblock is the way to go, or a 2-channel bridged..
and how could you possibly hear how tight a amp was. there are a few tube amps that have made great sub amps, not spl, but good sub amps.

How are the Blade tube amps on Subs? (VTH100)
I have a Blade G1254 (4x125wrms@4ohms)and was thinking of using it as my sub amp....Was using an Infinity Beta 300, But I am trying to run all Blade in my car along with the VTH 100's.
