Hey guys,

I just installed my x889, and its got so many features I dunno what to do with. I am running the cdt coaxial 6.5's in the front, stock 5x7's in the rear. Each speaker gets 70w rms from an MTX 4 channel amplifier. I have played with the settings, but I just cant seem to get it sounding perfect. The DTA is extremely hard to get perfect, and so is the EQ. Turning off the WOW and SRS settings makes it sound like crap. It does a nice job of raising the soundstage to help with imaging with lower door speakers. Any tips? I am still fooling around with it.

I dont know if this is a big deal, maybe not, but the front and rear stages have seperate parametric equalizers.

DTA I find will only align certain freq`s at a given time. ie. midrange but not midbass, . vica versa
might come in handy if you run a 3 way front end.

Ya they did it pretty wonky in these...

So, using my last-year's-TOL unit, your may have different stuff but it should be pretty similar...

Oh I just typed this somewhere else recently lemme see if I can find it...
