I'm wondering if IASCA, USAC and MECA are planing on banning these type of units?
This includes Alpines Imprint, MS-8 Pionner, p99/p01 or other Auto EQ devices.

Not sure if the MS-8 can be setup to change EQ settings with ID tags, If it does, that should not be allowed.

Don't get me wrong, It sounds like a great advancement to the car audio industry but I can also see it destroying the competition circuit.

IIRC we aren't allowed to change EQ settings during the judging process. If I'm wrong then Jason will have to chime in on this one.

It just means that these new processors will be setup to optimize its capabilities for the IASCA disc. Like I said not sure if these devices are capable of this feature.

I'm not aware of any processor that can change settings based on song ID. What an awesome feature that would be though!

This is certainly the way to go. It makes the digital processing unit optional.
