I've used them in conjunction with stock stereo systems lacking in low-end. They did a nice job in making you believe you had bass. I think they would complement any smaller subwoofer system because they can very much help to fill in the lowest frequency ranges (below 40 Hz) that may not be able to be reproduced by one or two small subs.

 

Aura Bass Shakers
-take up little room
-don't cost much
-require small amount of power
-don't damage your hearing
-don't anoy other motorist or neighbors
-do provide bass feeling and some sound

now if you don't want to use the bass shakers you have to put up with all the negatives of subwoofers if you want any low end to the music

 

I agree that they will not replace woofers. The trick I think is to intigrate them into the system so they become invisible so to speak. In other words you will get the impression the bass is comming from the music, not from this thing vibrating under your tush. They are something to augment the system, not to replace drivers. But hopefully you can get by with smaller drivers that that with a bit of bass boost extend to 40 hz. Your mamma will be smiling and your neighbours will not realize your in stealth mode.

 

What about the PG Cyclone?

I never fully understood it, but did it not somewhat do what Frank is talking about?

 

^ Was that an Accord local to Vancouver? I remember one being around here and it was in an Asian guy's Accord. I like the Cyclone. Very interesting product. Pretty pricey at it's time though and it never really caught on.

 

If you had a good midbass driver, that Cyclone would be a sweet peice I bet. I've never actually heard one.

Do I understand it correctly? The way I figure it to work is that you connect your amp to it, when it recieves signal the Servo powers up and moves the cone or vanes in accordance to the frequency being played? Is that relativly correct?
