Not really, it is what everyone thinks when they open a trunk full of mis-matched gear whether or not it is warranted... the word ghetto comes to mind. For the price of a W7 you could get 2 more W3 and an amp and make it look like it belongs there.

Doing what you are proposing will probably fail to make the system sound better, it might get louder (or at least have a rough bass response as you mentioned in post #1), you will give up even more luggage/ cup holder space (depending on where you put the W7, and if you spend enough $ it might look pretty good.

Bottom line is you are proposing to spend close to $1000 for nothing other than increasing cone surface area. If you are posting to hear positive results only I am sorry, if you wanted to hear other opinions that dont necessarily agree with your opinion you win.

What you REALLY want a cool set-up with something other than the same old look that pounds, while not completely breaking the bank. I say buy more W3's and another amp.

I am not a W7 hater BTW, but do you know how deep the W7 is... very inconvienient from a build point of view.

And I have written posts that were much more retarded than that

I agree with JV. Stick with same drivers for the same frequency range.

Ok lol. Honestly guys thanks for all the help! Im deff gunna get a cca sticker to put somewhere on my set up.

But anyways my buddy was in need of some money so he made me a deal for a couple of amps and a cap.

So far what i got out of him is a 20VDC 95(degrees Celsius) 2 Farad Tsunami cap with a Clarion APX4240 240 Watt Amplifier with i think it has 4 channels Bridged FL FR and RL RR and sub outputs and hes got more for me so far i gave him 50 bucks but he wants 250 for all, like i said hes got more for me still so i think im getting my moneys worth? I think i got it already he told me what the rest was but i forgot so. I think another amp. Anyways. I don't plan on using this amp unless i should? Like i said im not a fan of mixing and matching.

Ill keep u updated one what else he gives me. But my origional plan was

Total Subs:

2x12" w3's (already have)
1x w7 (Dont have yet)
Two 500/1 Amps witch im told is a bad idea for the w7. (Also Dont Have)
1 Cap my 2 Farad Tsunami (I do have now)
HU: Kenwood KVT 617 DVD

I also have the Clarion APX4240
witch i do not intend on using.

(maybe i should?)

Also what kind of wiring kit should i be using?

Now to answer Dukks Question

I want some lower base with a hard punch. plus i just like the idea of having a sub in the cab why not move up to a nicer set up since my w3's just are not enough.

To john vroom:

Maybe your right that's why were here and were working to gethter to set this up correctly. who agrees with him.

Now ontop of all that to be completly 100% honest most of this doesnt even make scence to me since, im kinda new to car audio but know what im looking at and two i like to do my research bust ohlms etc. are nothing because i dont understand that aspect of car audio. So Lets keep this thread going and see what we can come up with and ill deffinatly be at some of the shows in tdot. To show off and maybe even speak and shake hands with some of the people who help me set this up.

Wow thats alot of typing and all over the place sorry!!!

If you use that DPX11500 on the w3's in your current setup with some real power wire, not the Raptor crap that you have, then you will achieve your goal. I would also suggest using the other Clarion amp to power your front end to give yourself some balance.
