Question Wanted: Clean Well-Rounded Responsive Sub

Hey guys!
Glad to be here - first post too.

I have:
Audison 4.1k
Focal Polyglass V2 165's
(front)

Running the amp @:
4ch x 4ohm - 130W x 2 + 140W x 2

I need:
Two SQ subs that will respond well with the 4.1k:
  • I don't like rumble
  • Good range
  • Good response (hiphop, trance, rock/metal drums, jazz etc...)
  • Overall something with clean sound

Ugh Message Edit expired Maybe ignore the first post.. this one is important:

I'm very happy with my Focal components
and was thinking about Focal sub(s).

What do you guys think?

Here are the amp output specs:

Focal K2 Power 27KX / 4ohm / 11" / 300W
Focal K2 Power 33KX / 2 x 2ohm / 13" / 400W
Focal K2 Power 40KX / 2 x 2ohm / 16" / 500W

What setup would work well with these subs in mind? or .. if you have a comparable idea please share

Heh OK

I'm going to go with some a Focal sub mounted
in a box between my front seats (in a van).

I'm gonna pick prolly the 13inch.

I love good sounding music

What kind of budget do you have for the sub, one of the finet subs on the market is the Morel Ultimo, Morel ® Loudspeakers.

The Morel Sub is killer, but does requier quite a bit of power, from my experience. I think the guys at Audio Concepts carry the Morel stuff now, if you are looking in Alberta.

I contacted Audio Concepts about the Polyglass 27V2 and it's $500. I think thats around my budget. I know I'm not going top end but I think that would be a good bang for buck.

I'm going to sound quality, not volume or anything like that. My 165v2's were loud enough for a tailgate party... what do you guys think?
