what do most shops charge for installing 6.5 comps?

150 sounds like about the right price to me .........he's got to build an adaptor plate that will house your 6.5's and tweet and try to fit em over a 5x7 hole ............involves a wee bit of custom work...if he does as good a job as most say it's worth it [img]smile.gif[/img]

he's done awesome work so far...never failed me yet and the customer service is awesome as far as follow-up work, problems or advice. Only thing i don't like are the prices of the equipment lol. So sadly i haven't bought much from him.

But for the record i'm talking about Signature Audio on 118th ave n 156st or so. Roger is the guy that i've dealt with most and i have nothing but good things to say about his service!

On that note, there's another gentlement off the board that might help me out with this as well!

Unless you know the person who is going to do the install, stay away from big box stores. I used to work for bestbuy, and saw some pretty nasty hack jobs. Good luck with the install though [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

Because a bad installer can be anywhere, in an independant, big box or under the shade tree.

Good point..

There are bad installers everywhere.. the only person I trust to do install work is myself. Whether or not anyone else trusts me to do work for them is questionable though [img]smile.gif[/img]
