I agree. US Amps are amazing. I used them prior to my Mcintosh setup and love both. However, not much puts out raw power like the US Amps do and still run clean SQ. Their power is endless and damping is huge. I used to run 4 component sets on 1 US50 (2 x 25 watts). I think I still have an extra one lying around for sale in anyone wants to make an offer. Perfect working order in purple on top and plexi on the bottom.

JL Audio has introduced their new line amplifiers at CES, HD series, they look really nice, very small footprint, smaller than the pdx, and they are promised to sound killer. It looks like I have found my new comp amps!!!

The new JL HD series amps are *NOT* using B&O's IcePower... They also appear to have more flexible crossovers than the PDX's as well as 1.5 ohm stability vs 2 ohm stability.

All I've ever owned is Premier, Alpine or Pioneer Amps.
I've had different combinations of each, in about 10 systems in my last 5 cars.

Maybe i'm old school, but i prefer amplifiers that just amplify. Linear.
I don't want an amp to eq, crossover, cutoff or f-up the sound in any way.
Just amplify.

The best amps I've ever had, 1 on each sub, was the GM-H200's.
No settings except level. Built like a brick, takes a beating and keeps on going and going.

Planning my next system with all Premier amps.

I had a Steg QM220.2 and it was a nice amp , good sq very neutral at a reasonable price . Now you have the K-series wich are more expensive but also do a little better with more power and all of `m are 1 Ohm stable . I`m not going to mention the Masterstrokes `cause they just want to hurt your wallet . But the oldskool mentallity appeals to me too . Building a pasive set with only used products like a Genesis Q100X class a amp, an Infinity Kappa Super CS-1 speakersystem and a Clarion DRX 9575RZ headunit . If you keep your eyes open and have a little patience you can go real far without spending a small fortune . Other amps I`ve heard and really like were: Sinfoni 90.2/x , Brax X2000.2 , Helix A2 competition . But it also depends on what kind of speakers you use , not everything will be a perfect match .
