Time by Floyd. The whole CD is clear and Time switches up a lot, it's good to hear all those different frequencies. Lots of highs, mids, lows, everything in between, and done with an instrument and not something fake. Sweet.

bonneville 10-23-2008 10:11 PM

Floyd Cramer.
Too Short
Guns N Roses

John__Taylor 10-24-2008 05:47 AM

Supertramp: Live in Paris, but just about anything from them. A lot of songs suck you in to cranking it, then the crash hits all of a sudden, poor drivers :(

On the other end of the spectrum, Cars.

Queen: Live in Montreal

That Wang Chung tune is stuck in my damn head now...Bette Davis eyes too. Love those 2 songs.

Genesis

, gonna hit the record store later today. I need that song ;)

Flunk - Blue Monday (New Order cover)
This version has a female vocalist with a Norwegian accent, clear acoustic guitar, subtle electronic accents and some nice smooth bass pulses. Excellent!

Radio Head - Paranoid Android.

Dave Matthews Band - Say Good-bye.

Just about every DMB track is stellar, IMO. Definitely worth checking out.

For bassy music I'm listening to Daft Punk right now.

Micheal Buble too, but I feel a little :supergay: if I`m driving with it cranked.

James Blunt, and Coldplay sound really nice too.

slr_will 12-05-2008 03:29 PM

Its kind of weird because i listen mostly to heavy metal and rock, but the best song in my opinion is Blue October - Into The Ocean. I use that song when i ATTEMPT to fine tune my system lol. Extremely clear vocals and tight relatively punchy bass.

darryle 12-05-2008 03:54 PM

emperorjj1 06-24-2009 04:43 AM

dowork_son 07-23-2009 09:33 AM

anything by in flames or killswitch!!

Lord Huggington 07-23-2009 02:25 PM

Pink Floyd - Have a Cigar, Welcome to the Machine, Time. High quality recordings and lots of quiet synthesizer sounds to appreciate hearing with SQ speakers. The "OOOO" and "AHHHHH" female sings are high pitched, and they have low bass.

lpchouinard 07-23-2009 02:50 PM

Those sound very good in my van...
Infected Mushroom - Becoming Insane
Infected Mushroom - Heavyweight
Gwyneth Herbert - Only love can break your heart
Natalie Cole - Tell me about it

300C SRT8 07-31-2009 12:43 AM

Yello - Baby
the whole album

D113 08-01-2009 05:21 PM

Jamiroquai.. Canned Heat - It's not too embarrassing if you are into hiphop ;)

Never thought about it, but BT's newer single "Rose of Jericho" is pretty dynamic.
Still say "canned heat" will turn the heads of anyone in the passenger seat. I agree with an above poster on Dave Matthews Band Songs.. I personally use Ants Marching because it's very "bright."

Another favorite of mine if Goldfrapp's A+E for a saturated flood of sound

Here's the top 3 songs sound engineers use to "ring out their rigs on concert rigs."
-Fields of Gold Sting
-Desert Rose Sting
-A song by Angelique Kidjo, Possibly Adouma

I dont make this up.. and remember this is not to show off the rig, but to help get the rig to sound vocal.

I've heard all of these songs on soundcheck's from Nelly Furtado's engineer, to Avenged Sevenfold's, from The Rolling Stone's to Dave Matthews.

trurodave 10-11-2009 10:52 PM

smoke a joint then stairway led zepplin, disarm pumpkins, children robert miles and you will be fine lol

MJ's music sounds good in everybody's car...some of the best engineered, cleanest, cd's around! If you like that, try Quincy Jone's SACD greatest hits...very clean.

epol 11-18-2009 09:16 AM

JULIA DUNCAN...great vocal and instrument

Notch1988 01-23-2010 08:37 PM

One of my favourites is the Braveheart Soundtrack, in particular "Revenge".

jherback 01-23-2010 08:41 PM

Easily the greatest song for testing all the components of SQ is The Eagles, Hotel California live edition, I know a number of bands that have this song specifically on standby for all of their soundchecks!

suspeck 01-24-2010 05:12 AM

Billie Jean - Michael Jackson

Is this love - Bob Marley
