What do you guys think of the Zapco AG series? I have been looking into them, yet can't find any useful insight.

I have the AG750. CLEAN + CRISP

 

That's the exact amp i have been looking at to possibly power an IDMAX v3 12', and possibly a AG350 or something similiar to power mids/highs.

 

I posted earlier about the ag's. they are the same as ref series.

They are uber.

I'm running an AG1000 currently, never had a problem with it overheating (55C in the car, with 1.3ohm mono load). It sounds great until you start loading it down, damping factor drops off quick. In stereo mode it was the best AB solid state amp I have ever had hooked up to my 9" mids, heard things clearly that were muddied with any other amp.

i thought that robert zeff was the cheif engineer wtih that company yrs ago but sold to someone eles and is now working for another company designing amps with chip foose. if so who then is designing there new amps and are they as good as the old ones designed by robert?

 

I think zeff use to own the company.(i could be wrong).The amps (zeff and Foose) are made by arc audio. Great amps!! two years ago at Daytona, I was in one of those cab vans that travel up and down the strip.Some of the Arc big-wigs got in the cab and we had some wobbelypops at the club.They're pretty hard core about makin clean power.Im not sure if a Canadian distributer has them yet.They said they had no problem sellin to a canuck busness.
