03 Altima - 6x9s or components in rear ?

The Altima has that Bose package; with components up front, coaxials in the rear doors, and 6x9s in the rear deck. I'm ripping out all of that.

From my old car, I have Type R components for up front, and Type R 6x9s for the back. I like the components. The 6x9s, I just found rather muddled. I'm thinking about tossing the 6x9s, and instead putting more Type R components in the rear doors. But I'm wondering about sound and speaker positioning. The 6x9s would point up at the rear window, the rear doors are mounted flat on the doors, and are placed pretty forward on the door assembly; which means that the rear left channel would be right behind me. Just wondering about sound imaging and what will sound better.

THoughts?

Thanks for the help!

A lot of guys don't even run rears. Depends how much u like rear fill. I loke some rear fill personally. IMO loading off the rear window will be a more equal distance to your ear where as sound from rear door speakers gets lost in the upholstery or if u sit really far back u will hear a lot from that LR door. Components on rear deck in a custom baffle would work better than trying for good placement in rear doors. Is everything gonna be amplified by real power vs. Bose power? Is everything gonna be in stock placement in the front?

Well there's another issue.
Up front has the mids on the doors; the tweets in the A-frame pillar. I don't know if I should put the new tweets there, or cut the door skins and put them in there.

The Bose power is getting totally dumped, have a 4 channel and a 2 channel going in.

About those tweets. U may be able to fit them behind stock panels with the woofers. Try them there and in the factory spots before u cut any holes. R u running subs? Does your car have a ski hole or flip down seat for bass to pass through? There are 6x9 subs out there meant for "infinite baffle" as well.
