06 pathfinder factory Bose system and DVD HELP
Hi I have a '06 Nissan Pathfinder and it currently has the factory Bose 6 disc CD changer and facroty Over head DVD
I want to change the deck to this http://www.crutchfield.com/shopsearch/kenwood_ddx770.
I want to keep the Bose system sound and keep the functionality of the overhead DVD different shops have said this is possible other say not possible and the price range is CRAZY!!
Does anyone have experience getting this to work?? Also can someone recommend a shop preferably downtown Toronto that CAN do it at a reasonable cost if it is possible to do.

You can change the factory stereo and keep your "bose sound", with your factory overhead DVD situation, if at the back of the factory deck the screen is controlled through RCA signals then your fine, if not which will most likely be the case you won't be able to. You would have to add an aftermarket screen.

This is a link to a image of of the back of what I think is my factory system - I say think because it doesn't say anything about a DVD player but the acual DVD player where I put in the DVD is in the center arm rest area. http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/2005-2006-2007-Nissan-Pathfinder-Factory-BOSE-6-Disc-Changer-CD-Player-OEM-Radio-R-2367
Does it look like it has the RCA signals??

Yes it has the proper jacks the yellow jack is your video the white jack is your left audio and the red jack is the right audio. Now with that being said you are not going to need the dvd player as your kenwood deck is a dvd player what you need to do is to see if there are those rca outputs on the overhead screen. If they are there then the RCA's go directly from the overhead screen to your kenwood deck, if there are no RCA cable inputs your going to need to replace the factory overhead screen with an afternarket one
