2009 Ford F150 Fx4 install questions

Hi,

Will I need to drill through firewall to get the power wire through or is there somewhere accessible already?

Also - I am connecting high level speaker outs to my AC EQX - how can I identify the high level out wires from all the rest?

Thanks for any help on this...

Matt

I found a factory hole that was destined for a 4 - 0 guage power wire. After cutting the rubber gromet and fishing the wire down I finally have my power wire running into the truck. Problem now is that the wire is too short by about 4 feet.

I will have to add a connector partway - not ideal but less expensive than new wire....

Still have a question though - is there an amp turn on wire on factory decks like on after-market decks (usually the blue one)?

your reffering to the R.E.M cable, unless the vehicle like a cobalt for instance has a stock 8 inch sub or something, the stock head unit most likely will not have a remote turn on. And about the wire problem, if your four feet short.. how big is your cab? my suggestion would be to have a distrubutor block on the fire wall of the interior, then run what you need from there.
