4 12" sub wiring

My amp will do 2k at 1 ohm but with my 4 subs i'm stuck at 2 ohm.
if I wire them down to .5 will my amp go into protect or with box rise and other bullshit will I see close enough to 1 to be stable?

Don't count on the so called box rise to wire down below the stablility of the amp.

What's amp you have?

what configuration are your subs? dual 4 ohm? I dont think youll be able to make the current setup work, but you might be able to make it work with 2 subs. I will assume that if you get 2k at 1 ohm then youre around 1k at 2 ohms. if you use 2 subs you can get 1 ohm, therefore running 1k/sub if they can handle it you will probably get louder results.

again, like what sonic asked...what equipment are you dealing with?
