has anyone here ever tried doing a combination 6th order bandpass and transmission line box? what I'm thinking of is having a vented chamber that holds the sub and firing it into a transmission line tuned at the quarter wave of the FS of the sub.

anyone have any thoughts?

Hm - won't may be a little harsh.... How about - I would be surprised if it sounded any good without monumental experimentation.

the woofer is the Image Dynamics ID8, FS of 22.7 Hz, I know the TL works well, I just want to try the bandpass for ****es and giggles, mostly giggles, but a little of the other part LOL.

I know it'll take some experimentation, but I think it could be totally worth it, and the output from such a small driver would be very impressive.

you will get one fenominal peak if you get the two enclosures notes to line up! i am stoked to see how that goes.

I agree, and getting the FS of the sub to line up as well will increase that peak by an order of magnitude MUHAHAHAHAHA
