has anyone here ever tried doing a combination 6th order bandpass and transmission line box? what I'm thinking of is having a vented chamber that holds the sub and firing it into a transmission line tuned at the quarter wave of the FS of the sub.

anyone have any thoughts?

sounds interesting! what are tring to acheve with that enclosure?

It won't work but have fun.

Hm - won't may be a little harsh.... How about - I would be surprised if it sounded any good without monumental experimentation.

x2 on the 2nd paragraph. would be fun trying though, what speaker were you thinking of trying? what are you thinking the benefit of the bandpass would be over traditional t/l mounting?

the woofer is the Image Dynamics ID8, FS of 22.7 Hz, I know the TL works well, I just want to try the bandpass for ****es and giggles, mostly giggles, but a little of the other part LOL.

I know it'll take some experimentation, but I think it could be totally worth it, and the output from such a small driver would be very impressive.
