HMMMMM..., Hey Dukk, considering I have a T-line tuned to just under 1/4 wave firing through my rear parcel shelf? Logically wouldn't I have that combination in one package if I opened my window/door?

What's the principle behind TL?
Thought they were for large rooms with room sized enclosures.

I know of a couple people experimenting with this idea...so far it didnt work for one of them...but only because they justy didnt have enough room in the back.

The idea behind a Transmission Line cabinet is to have a long tapering cone shaped cabinet, behind the magnet, ending in a port.
Think of putting that into a box, by making a tapering laberynth.
There are quite a few desings out there.
One of the more famous home speaker manufacturers used Transmission line, named IMF .

it alows for a more full wave development over a lager sonic spectrum buy creating length were there may not be enough. i.e. the labrinth that is the enclosure. realy good idea! but like mensioned above needs some serious room for the lower notes to develop. a good exsample is a full 40hz note is 331.45m/s devided by 40hz = 8.29m and a 20hz note takes 16.57m to develop fully! so u can see how this enclosure could get preaty large if u were bassing it on full wave development!

Your TL is going to be 90 degrees out of phase with the ported side.

plus, im gonna go out on a limb and guess that the TL end of that box would have virtually no output, because of the resistance through the line. it would basically be like having a gigantic sealed box on that side, and the ported box on the other.

ill tell u exactly what performance will equal...

a poorly designed 4th order bandpass...thats exactly what it is.

Best of luck, you will need it.

Mine is in phase, and sounds great!
Port is on the same plane as the woofers.

i meant if you have a ported enclosure behind it.

And yours isnt in phase either eli, but we wont get into why.
