anyone ever put a aftermarket headunit in this car?i have a factory wiring schematic for the stereo. it has something like a 10 speaker system in it. with the amps in the trunk.
anyone one wanna help me with this?

ive done lots of 500 and 300 SL's is it a becker deck?

 

i believe it is. behind the radio there is 3 plugs, 2 rectangle style ones with a total of a bout 5 wires and one that looks like a cd changer plug which im assuming is the amp plug

 

you can put an aftermarket deck in, but you will have to use the factory amp because its all bose so the impedance of the speakers is way too low. becareful when removing the headunit cause there is a catch pin on some of the becker decks that will toast the deck and tuner box. good luck.
