'94 Beretta - Alarm Issues

I installed my alarm a few motnhs ago and EVERYTHING was connected as per the manual (ie: I found the REAL ignition wire, wired directly to the battery, soldered all connections then gummed em and heatshrunk em).
Now, the alarm works GREAT after about 30 seconds. It seems that EITHER the fading out interior lights are setting the alarm off SOMETIMES or my car is doing something JUST as the lights go completely off.
When I get out of my car, about 10 seconds later the interior lights fade out. Sometimes I can set it while the lights are still on and the alarm doesn't go off; but sometimes it does. I set my alarm to wait 30 seconds before fully arming the alarm but this option doesn't seem to help at all.
Please help, as of right now I have to walk away from my car and wait a bit before I set it.
Information:
Alarm is an Alpine SEC-8063, shock sensor, door sensor (interior light) and trunk sensor ONLY. Proximity sensor is currently disabled through the alarm's software.

unplug the perimeter sensor
as fa as i know the only thing you can turn of in the programing is outer perimeter.
also check what zone is being tripped in the diagnostics.....you may need to go directly to each door pin and then isolate them with a diode.

Oh ... isolate the door pins ... hmmmm. You mean, basically disable the alarm's ability to detect the interior light? That sounds like it might work. I will have to check my Haynes manual to see where in the line I connected the input for the door pin/interior light.
On that Alpine, you can turn off the entire sensor, the Alarm has an LCD screen and it's in the Sensor Setup menu.
Oh, and zone tripped is door.
