another thing about grand cherokee stock decks is that it might have common ground, which means the deck is grounded somewhere elnse and not into the harness. it's usually a black wire attached to the back of the deck, there is no ground in the stock harness so you have to take the harness of your aftermarket deck and attach it to that black wire that is attached to the back of the stock deck.

well, your right, about the ground strap, but thats not what a common ground is. common ground is when all the speakers share the same ground.
