98 Aurora Wires Dont Match Up?

Alright. I have a 98 oldsmobile aurora with the bose stereo upgrade already in it.

I am putting a sub and amp in and bought a new headunit. I got a wiring harness but now here is my problem. The bose stereo wiring is different then just the default stereo.

because of this according this

I dont see a Left Rear - Or Right Front -

here is a chart a made that might explain better. the wires on left are in aurora and on right are the wiring harness.

see where the Left Rear - and Right Front - are on the chart on the Wiring Harness side there is not even a wire on the aurora side. There isnt even a wire for either of those things anywheres according the chart.

I am brand new to this. Maybe I am confused. please help.

why not just get a direct plug in harness for your car?

Congratulations - you have just tied into one of THE hardest OEM systems to work on.

Bose = yer screwed.

My advice, rewire everything. Better yet - being brand new to this, prepare to suck it up and pay a pro to do it, around $150 for the deck and the same for the sub and amp.

Are they similar to the 80's caddy stereos? Cause when I started with mine back when I had my 86 deville, you could rewire all the factory bose speakers to bypass the factory amps. It was a royal pain in the *** though, and I have no idea if it'd be the same in the Aurora. (And to top it off, since when spent so long screwing around with it and were rushing and tired, we messed something up that cause my digital dash to go out a couple weeks later, and that wasn't cheap to fix).

I agree with Dukk, get it done by a pro. I only got charged about $400 labour for installing the deck/2 door speakers/rear speakers/2 amps/subs. You shoulda seen the guy at the shop cringe when he saw what kind of car I had, though. lol.

Where did you buy the deck at? The first thing they should have asked when you said you drive an Oldslowmobile is if it had a Blowes system in it or not. Salesdude = fail.

Battery is in the back seat.

Is there not a way I could just run power to the factory amp so the speakers run?
