Hi I am buying two 12" alpine type x's and I was wondering if the alpine mrp-m2000 would be enough to power both of them.

Here are the specs for the amp -

4 ohms: 1500 watts x 1 chan
2 ohms: 2000 watts x 1 chan
Frequency response: 20-200 Hz

Specs for the subs -

RMS Power Range : 500-1000 Watts
Peak Power Handling: 3000 Watts
Impedance: Dual 4 Ohm
Low Frequency response: 24 Hz
High Frequency Response: 200 Hz

 

Looks like a good candidate.

 

make sure you type x's are dual 2 ohm woofers

 

Make sure you build the right box as well....

 

make sure you have the electrical support for 2000w RMS!

 

make sure you have me biuild an enclosure for those ubs

 

Just noticed that he wrote dual 4ohm.... your going to need the dual 2ohm woofers as Jalat mentioned to get the most out of your amp.

 

if i remember right they dont make the X in dual 2 if not you need 2 mrp-m1000

 

Strange how their site lists the coil configurations for every sub except the X.
