hey i installed the dvd deck into my car and everything was working fine, next morning i go to listen to songs and no sound, seems like it has somehow been muted, deck responds like normal no glitches but no sound and i checked all wires to make sure ntn was shorting out. Not sure what happened overnight, any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

You got me stumped, maybe try resetting the deck see if that works?

make sure that you dont have a speaker wire grounded use a ohmmeter and mesure the resistance between the ground and your speaker wires or unplugged all your speaker wires and just connect a speaker that you know works like a home speaker just to make sure that sound is coming out of the deck

It does sound like you have a speaker shorted out somewhere, like carstereoguy said.

The first thing to do is to unplug your outboard brain main power harness. Using a multi-meter check for continuity between ground and all speaker wires, one at a time.

Once you find the issue, trace it back to the speaker using a "sniffer". Or if you don't have one, then take a chance and remove the speaker from the door? and see if it is grounded out there. If that's not it, then it's been pinched somewhere along the way and you'll have to remove panels to find out where.
