Alpine W910-H701 No Analog left or Rear Channel
Hey All,
Decided to hook up my 701. The system was working fine with an MRA-F350 Amp. All I did was install 2 new Alpine 4 Channel Amps run new wires to the front tweets for active and then connect the 701. Turned it all on set the x-overs and I get no left channel mid or highs and no rear channels with an analog source. I have checked all the normal stuff - The speakers are all turned on and set to small, weird thing is that if I run the pink noise test I get sound from all the speakers. I do get ALL channels when playing a CD from the HU passing digital through the optical cable.
I have tried a 2nd AI-Net cable same issue. I have the Blue cable that came with the Used processor and I tried the only other cable I have which is a black one not sure if it matters. I did not hook up the Guide cable to the 701 by reading the manuals it looked to me that guide was meant for a external nav hookup.
I am controlling the 701 with the HU and do not have the 701 controller, it is almost like the the balance and fader are set to the front right in analog.
Does the processor use the same output stage for analog and digital. I have is set to DPL-2 on the head unit no rear fill and all my levels are set at -3 and as I said the pink noise test from within the HU (processor) outputs sound to all speakers well FL - FR - C - LR - RR.
Thanks,
Dave

I can't remember the logic of it's source control, but I think you may have to go into the menu and manually switch to your analog source from the digital one. I think the menu just loops around digital1>digital2>digital2>Analog1>Analog2>Analog3 . I only use one source so it's been a while since I messed with it, but I think thats how it works.

yes the switch is in EQ/DIV. This was working fine with the MRA-F350 5 Channel Digital amp previously. I am assuming the problem is in the 701. If I had a controller to hook up to it so I could do a full reset on the processor might help.
