Aluminum HU trim for 2000 Civic...

Here's a pic of the HU trim I made up this weekend, since the trim kit already in the car was woefully inadequate. The three holes are for the DEI glass break sensor that's wired into my alarm/remote starter which was installed by the wonderful folks at Maximum Threshold in Kitchener.


broke my dremel cutting it out of the 5/32 aluminum plate...

one question, how is the trim piece and the HU held in?

the HU is ISO mount, so it's screwed into the supports for the whole assembly, and the aluminum is glued onto the main assembly with polyurethane glue.

nope... the only change to the back is that I stood it off about 3/16 of an inch, to setthe CD player back enough to get it flush.

ok, this car got hit by a truck, so the HU is out, and the aluminum is still in there... this sucks boo-tay.

on the plus side, my 04 lancer will be a fun project.
