Angled speaker rings?

Does anyone know a better (cheaper) place to find something like these? Most stock door speaker locations can use a little extra lift

You have a price range?

What are you trying to fit, and where?

I'm putting 6" Dayton RS's in stock location Mazda 6 doors. Just thinking they could be a little more on axis. Sorry, I swear I put a link in that first post.... I'd have to shave 1/8" off the inside of these 5.25 rings to fit my speakers but the 6.5" rings would be kind of sloppy. 27 bucks for a pair and another $7.50 for shipping. They do custom work too for a bit more.

I just use the appropriate thickness of MDF rings, hold them in a vise and cut at an angle. Has worked for every car I've owned, and they can be stcked (i.e. multiple pieces of 3/4" to produce 1.5' of tilt, etc.)

My standard shop rate at Visions is about $50 for a pair of fitted rings. Usually I don't do angled, but it's not a big deal.

It's going to be hard to beat the price of a CNC place. (that site)

I could never cut them straight. I can't even get a perfectly round hole.

Good to know the price is right then. Thanks

But on second thought, if I do an angle mount I'm gonna be bumping into the factory grill on the door. I really want to keep it a "sleeper" install.

Does the tweeter not swivel on the speaker?

Mids aren't that sensitive to being off axis.

Oh I am actually going to build custom tweeter pods on my sail panels. Those daytons are dedicated mids, not coax. Came across a few cool tricks on diyma for tweeter pods.

I don't think you would see ANY difference from the extra 10º then.

Ok. Thanks. I've noticed alot of cars seem to point the mids down and away from being on axis. Maybe it actually helps with phasing in a car?
