another wiring question!

ok, so im almost done wiring up my system

and im doing the components right now and i have a problem

i have the crossover wired, and the wires through the door and all that

but my woofer wire is not marked. like there is no redline on the one wire

or any markings what so ever to distinguish the wires. how can i find out which

one is positive and negative without damaging n e thing. i don't have n e tools

for that stuff either. if i hooked up a crappy old speaker to find out the polarity

would it damage the crossover or amp? help!

thats an easy one.

use a battery. + on the battery to + on the speaker, will make the woofer cone move forward (out).
