Arctic Start Alarm w/ CompuSTAR Remote?
The model is a RT2WR (2-way FM remote). I just recently noticed that the installer gave me a different remote that doesnt match the system that was installed (the internal antenna in the car is an Arctic Start). My remote is a COMPUSTAR 2W8000FMR (3000) - doesnt say ARCTIC START on the remote like the user's guide shows? The remote seems to work fine with the alarm (I've tested it and all the features seem to work ok). My question is regarding the RANGE. Do I lose the distance because my remote is not an ARCTIC START remote? What determines the better range? Is it the antenna that is in the car, or the 2-way remote, or both? Should I ask for the original remote back? Somebody told me that the installer actually gave me a BETTER remote! Like I said, I know the alarm works fine, I'm more concerned that I'm losing out on the actual RANGE. Please advise...
(I realize that Arctic Start/Compustar is one-in-the-same..)

I've had the Arctic Start alarm for a few weeks now and I have to say I'm really impressed with the range of the 2-way pager. I was downtown the other day and I was parked on a side-street and I auto-started my car from 3 blocks away (got a page notification), behind tall buildings etc..I was pleasantly surprised!
If you want amazing range for a 2-way page alarm, go with this unit:
CompuSTAR Arctic Start (Model# RT2W900FMAS)

Actually there exactly the same thing. Compustar is actually the main brand and Artic Start is the second name they sell it as. Compustar is the leader in 2Way Alarm/Starters. Same company nothing to worry about. I have a CompuStar I love it.
