I'll agree on the vented bandpass comment - they are damn tough to be made very musical. Best I ever saw was a Jamo home speaker that they disco'd a few years back. It was kinda neat. Generally I recommend people stick to a sealed bandpass.

Maltese - I keep forgetting at home to spin up a box for your woofer. Hopefully I'll remember tonite.

I've heard good things about using the "Homewrecker" enclosure for earth shaking bass. Heard about it from decware forums and such.

Thanks Dukk, I'm looking forward to that when you get around to it. You frightened me away from doing it myself with the whole driver excursion issue.

Box size is not an issue
I prefer ported
I would like it to do good justice to freight-trains, thunder, and rushing water.
