Beginner, new help with amp and sub!

I had a professionally installed 10 inch old fosgate with a kenood amp i recently bought for it. 500wattsx2ohm 250x4ohm, the sub is 400watts peak 250rms. I wanted to upgrade to a 10 inch type r, i got it and put it in.

Now, the type R is 1000watts/ 2000watts peak and its a 2ohm sub so my amp is pushing 500watts rms to it. I had my fosgate 10 in a bandpass box and it hit pretty good but I put my type r in a ported box and with the reccommended size.

The problem is my fosgate that is 400watts peak hit just as hard as my new alpine Type R which is way more powerful.

I didn't move any wiring when i got my type R, i simply took out the old sub and put my new typr R in, the old sub was a 4ohm and my new one is 2ohm, does this has anything to do with my problem? I haven't moved my amp settings since it got professionally installed, should i ith this ne sub?

My ne sub is 3x more powerful then my old sub, why is it not showing it? Do you guys know what could be wrong?

\My car audio knowledge is at an amatuer level xD.
