Big Static Problem, Help Please
#1
wondering if my amp is fried or what
im running a USX4065 and a pioneer dehp9300
when i turn the volume up past 12 im getting large amounts of what appears to sound like static, only when i turn it up though, all my mids are running of the USX, just wondering what would cause this, or if my amp is fried or whats going on
any insight would be appreciated
thanks

Try running the mids off a different power source to see if it's something else.
So try swapping the amp with another. If the sound is still there, then it might be a problem with the pre outs on your deck.
If you swap the amp out, and the problem is gone, well, then pretty much narrowed it down to the amp.

i dont really have another amp to just test the speakers on
theres only on set of rcas going into the amp, i tried it last night running only one channel and it was fine, as soon as i wire the rest of the speakers in the other channel, the static comes again
