HI I just bought a new alpine deck and installed it today but there seems to be a bit of a problem.. When ever I make adjustments to the deck eg...Clock,Eq ect.... I doesnt seem to stay programed or in its memory because when ever I shut off the vehicle the clock resets and everything else does as well... Have I possibly hooked up a wire wong some where??

 

Sounds like you've hooked up the memory backup wire to the ignition wire.

 

where should the memory wire be hooked up to?

 

Which car?

 

Yellow wire to constant(if it is a 'V drive' alpine, straight to the battery, not to the car wiring!) red to ignition (switches on and off with the car)
