Clarion Reverse Gear Issue

Clarion Reverse Gear Issue
I have a Clarion VX 404 http://www.clarion.com/us/en/pdf/VX4...rmanual_EN.pdf
that I just installed. Everything is working as expected except for a weird issue I'm getting with the reverse gear wire.
When the vehicle is in anything but reverse, it tries to display the backup camera. When the vehicle is in reverse, it displays the head unit as if it were in anything but reverse. It's pretty much the exact opposite of what it should be doing.
The wiring harness I'm using is PAC C2R-CHY4 Revision 1.1.6 - Pac-Audio.com Product Details | iPod Integration for your car and More by Pac-Audio - Connecting you to the future
I called PAC, they verified I was connecting everything properly, and they basically had no idea why it would be the exact opposite of what it's supposed to do. They thought that perhaps the Clarion head unit was looking for a negative signal as opposed to a positive.
My question is, has anyone experienced this? Could I get something that would flip that signal and wire in inline?

There should be a setting on the deck to change exactly what you're describing. I know my Pioneer has one. Otherwise you should be able to wire in a relay to do it for you. This is slightly beyond my knowledge though.

On your Pioneer unit, could you tell me the exact wording of that setting so it might aid me in some google searches?
Do you know anyone on here that could point me in the right direction of setting up a relay?
Thanks!
